this recipe is really good! it is from a great recipe book called Family Favorite Recipes
Here it is:
2 1/3 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. butter, softened
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. maple syrup
2 c. all purpose flour
Beat first five ingredients at a medium speed with an electric mixer until well blended. Gradually add flour, mixing well. Drop dough by tablespoon fulls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool. Makes about three dozen.

Cherry Clafoutis (kal-FOO-tee)
My first recipe is a simple, yet delicious. Here it is!
4 eggs
2 cup milk
1/3 cup flour
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup canned cherries ( no stem, obviously)
Place eggs, milk, flour, sugar, salt, and vanilla in a medium sized bowl. Take a hand mixer and mix for about 30 seconds, or until well blended. Poor into a quiche dish. put cherries on top. Cook at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to an hour.
